BURNSVILLE, Minn.–Firefly Credit Union dedicated May to raising money for the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge of Minneapolis, an organization that gives cancer patients and their caregivers a homelike place to stay during cancer treatment.
The program is able to provide lodging for patients and their caregivers at no cost because of support from volunteers and donations.
During May, Firefly employees were given the opportunity to donate money and participate in a wide array of fun activities. The activities included:
- Hoops Tourney
- Flamingo Insurance
- Bingo
- Silent Auction
- Jeans Day
- Ice Cream Bar
Through generous employee participation, Firefly raised a total of $4,461 for the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge of Minneapolis. The donations made by Firefly employees will assist the Hope Lodge of Minneapolis in continuing to provide a free, safe, and comfortable environment for patients and caregivers to stay while they are receiving cancer treatment.
