BURNSVILLE, Minn.–Firefly Credit Union partnered with Memorial Blood Centers (MBC) to host its semi-annual blood.
The drive’s theme was two-fold as employees helped save lives with each unit of blood, as well as raise scholarship funds for local students at Burnsville High School.
Donors taking part in Firefly’s latest drive helped collect 25 whole blood cell units, which will have the potential to save up to 75 lives in the community. Plus, for each unit of blood, Firefly and MBC, together, threw in $30 towards scholarship funds for a total of $750 raised.
“Firefly is happy to help bring employees, community members and students together to support an important cause and give back to those in need,” said Bill Raker, Firefly Credit Union President/CEO. “This event gave us the opportunity to show our support by saving lives, while raising scholarship funds – it truly was a win-win!”
