BURNSVILLE, Minn.–Firefly Credit Union helped encourage youth and teen members to establish smart savings habits by participating in National Credit Union Youth Month. Throughout April, more than 450 new youth and teen accounts were opened, including more than 200 new youth memberships and more than 100 teen checking accounts.
In addition to providing account opening bonuses to members age 17 and under, Firefly members and the community were invited to attend an education session on creating SMART money goals. Families who attended participated in multiple activities that sparked conversations about money and household finances.
