BURNSVILLE, Minn.–Firefly Credit Union recently celebrated an Employee Recognition and Collaboration Event where it honored the Employee of the Year and four Core Value Award winners.
The employee recognition program at Firefly Credit Union, Pay It Forward, identifies employees who have provided exceptional service to members, co-workers and the credit union as a whole. In this program, employees who are nominated for the Shining Star award have stepped up to a level of service outside of their job description. These employees are also entered into the pool of nominees for Employee of the Year, the credit union said.
Lori Lynn, Commercial Loan Officer for Business Services, was named the 2017 Employee of the Year. Lynn was nominated for a Shining Star after working diligently on a loan for a mother and daughter looking to open a business loan. After many months of work, and working beyond the normal scope of a loan process, Lynn demonstrated hard work and adaptability and never gave up on her members.
In addition to the Employee of the Year, Firefly recognized four individuals as their Core Value award winners. Firefly’s core values are the foundation to the organization and are at the forefront of everything they do.
The following employees were recognized as the Core Value Award winners:

- Jennifer Russell, Collaboration & Teamwork – be accountable for what you do
- Margaret Haugen, Adaptability – find the “yes” in every situation
- Jill Schaffler, Hard Work – make a positive difference every day
