BURNSVILLE, Minn.––Firefly Credit Union celebrated Youth Month to help encourage youth and teens to establish smart savings habits. Throughout September, nearly 400 new youth and teen accounts were opened, including more than 150 new youth memberships and 100 teen checking accounts.
In addition to providing account opening bonuses to members age 17 and under, Firefly members and the community were invited to attend an education session on personal finance. Families who attended participated in multiple activities that sparked conversations about money and household finances.
