Firefly Celebrates Members, Employees

BURNSVILLE, Minn.–Firefly Credit Union celebrated its annual employee appreciation month during July. Members of the Firefly team were greeted with goodies, games and giveaways throughout the month to demonstrate gratitude for all they do each day.

Some of the activities that employees were invited to participate in included a company picnic, a state fair themed lunch with butter carving contest, a water balloon toss, a corn hole tournament (pictured below), and jeans days every Friday of the month. Additionally, employees received multiple perks including a weekly prize drawing; a Firefly-branded coffee thermos; and sweet treats not limited to popcorn, lemonade, and malts.

“Firefly Credit Union would not be what it is today, and has been for the past 91 years, without the teamwork and collaboration of our dedicated employees,” said Bill Raker, President/CEO of Firefly Credit Union. “Our annual employee appreciation month is a wonderful way for us to host activities that bring our employees together and give back for all of the hard work they have put in throughout the year.”

Separately, Firefly Credit Union employees enjoyed the summer sun with members of the credit union and the Greater Twin Cities Community when its Shakopee branch hosted a barbecue as a member appreciation event. Both members and non-members enjoyed food and received promotional coupons from the credit union.

“We had wonderful weather for credit union employees from our Shakopee branch and corporate office to enjoy the community barbecue with members and those just stopping by,” said Xiong Lee, Business Development Specialist at Firefly Credit Union. “The event was a great opportunity for multiple departments of the Firefly Credit Union team to collaborate and enjoy the afternoon with attendees.”
