HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. — Firefighters First Credit Union recently celebrated the grand opening of its new Hendersonville Hub at 190E Saundersville Road, marking a significant milestone in the organization’s coast‑to‑coast expansion.
The event welcomed over 350 members, Tennessee firefighters and community partners who explored the new space and engaged with the Firefighters First team.
Originally founded in Los Angeles more than 90 years ago, Firefighters First has grown to a national credit union with locations across Washington, Arizona, Florida and Tennessee. “Our expansion into Hendersonville is a significant moment in our national growth,” said Dixie Abramián, CEO of Firefighters First. “This hub gives us a stronger foundation to serve firefighters and their families across the country while building meaningful connections in Tennessee. We’re proud to invest in a community that reflects both our progress and our long‑standing commitment to the Fire Family.”
The new facility was designed to honor the heritage of the Los Angeles City Fire Department, where Firefighters First was founded, while also reflecting the broader fire service community through patches, helmets and challenge coins donated by fire departments from across the country. A restored horse‑drawn steam engine, on loan from the Los Angeles City Fire Museum, serves as the centerpiece of a curated firefighter exhibit, offering visitors a tangible connection to the profession’s history and the credit union’s roots.
