ELIZABETH, N.J.–Financial Resources Federal Credit Union has opened a new, full-service, state-of-the-art branch here.
The new S. Broad Street branch, located at 10-12 S. Broad Street, has officially opened with a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony with Mayor Bollwage, chiefs of Elizabeth’s police and fire departments, council representatives, the executive staff of the Elizabeth Development Co., FRFCU Board Chair Bob Graczyk and Secretary Maria Agresta, Nancy R. Berkenfeld, senior librarian at Elizabeth, and other prominent Elizabeth dignitaries.
"This new branch is yet another way FRFCU is investing in the Elizabeth area. We look forward to meeting and working more closely with our new neighbors, clients and community partners,” said Frank Almeida, CEO and President of FRFCU. "We are excited about the opportunity this new branch provides to bring necessary banking services to an underserved community, and for us to deepen the strong relationships we have in the Elizabeth community.”
To “demonstrate this commitment to changing lives for the better” in Elizabeth, Almeida presented a $7,500 donation to Shelia Casey, executive director of Josephine’s Place, an Elizabeth nonprofit organization providing programs that enable local women to realize their potential, and develop competencies and life skills.
“In addition to personalized, high-touch banking services, this new state-of-the-art branch will offer full-service banking capabilities, feature digital video screens and a team to help provide uniquely personalized support and product information to the Elizabeth community,” the credit union said.
Longtime AVP Senior Branch Manager Marlon Sarmiento will serve as branch manager at the new location.
"FRFCU’s Elizabeth branch is uniquely designed to give our clients a more personal banking experience, with even better access to a full suite of products and services," said Sarmiento. "We are excited to bring this more consultative, financial empowerment approach to Elizabeth and demonstrate our commitment to helping our member community move forward on their financial journey."
