GADSDEN, Ala.– In honor of National Random Acts of Kindness Day, Family Savings CU partnered with The Outreach Program and United Way of East Central Alabama to pack 50,000 meal kits for local food pantries.
The event, held at the Venue in Gadsden, Ala., saw every Family Savings CU employee roll up their sleeves for a day dedicated to community
service.
Nearly 300 employees across every branch dedicated approximately two hours to assembling macaroni and oatmeal meal kits—each kit containing all the ingredients needed to prepare a complete, hearty meal. After the packing session, teams personally delivered the kits to food pantries in thirteen counties across the communities the credit union serves, ensuring that essential meals reached those in need.
