RALEIGH, N.C. – The SECU Foundation, the charitable arm of State Employees Credit Union, co-sponsored an awards ceremony at the North Carolina Museum of History at which 38 individuals were honored with the highest privilege that can be bestowed upon a state employee – the Governor’s Awards for Excellence.
The event was part of Excellence in State Government Week, acknowledging employees for noteworthy service to the State and people of North Carolina. Nominated by their peers, award recipients were presented with the accolades for outstanding accomplishments and dedicated service beyond the scope of their normal duties. State Employees’ Credit Union (SECU) representatives were on hand, including SECU Foundation Executive Director Mark Twisdale, who welcomed guests to the ceremony.
