COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.–Ent Credit Union’s Mike Grady has been named a Pikes Peak United Way (PPUW) “Volunteer of the Year” at its 2018 Community Celebration awards luncheon.
One of four recipients, Grady was recognized for “making a significant difference in our community.” A six-year PPUW volunteer, he is the current president of the Emerging Leaders Council and has been instrumental in engaging young professionals to volunteer with United Way and other area nonprofits.
Grady also hosts an annual Young Leaders Breakfast to educate Ent employees on the importance of community involvement, which has yielded numerous volunteers and monetary donations.
He led Ent’s 2013 and 2014 PPUW employee fundraising campaigns that raised more than $400,000. Grady also received a Colorado Springs Business Journal 2017 Rising Star award.
Grady has been with the credit union for 19 years and currently serves as Ent’s Service Area Manager for the northern Colorado Springs market.
“Mike’s leadership in introducing young professionals to the importance of community engagement helps ensure our nonprofit organizations will continue to have strong philanthropic leaders in the future,” said Liz Finn, Ent’s Vice President of Operations.
