Ent Supports Springs Rescue Mission

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.– Thanks to the efforts of Ent Credit Union’s employees and members  nearly $42,000 was raised in support of Springs Rescue Mission's “Building a Community of Hope” campaign to expand their downtown Colorado Springs campus. Combined with the credit union’s donation of more than $8,000, Ent’s total contribution of $50,000 will help fund the expansion project currently under construction.

The expansion will more than double the Mission’s homeless shelter beds from 60 to 150 and allow it to offer year-round facilities instead of only providing shelter beds during the winter months. During Ent’s two-month fundraising campaign, employees organized a cake walk, pancake breakfast, barbecue lunch, contests, jeans days and bake sales to help exceed the credit union’s $35,000 employee fundraising goal.

“Fundraising for the Springs Rescue Mission is just another way Ent and its employees recognized a need and worked together to exceed our monetary goal for the campaign,” said Barb Winter, executive vice president of organizational resources. “The ongoing volunteer efforts of our dedicated employees truly reflect the commitment Ent has to our community.
