Ent Adds Volunteer Time Off Program

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Ent Credit Union is reporting it recently added a paid Volunteer Time Off (VTO) program to the list of benefits they offer its employees. With the approval of a supervisor, all full and part-time Ent employees can schedule one business day of paid VTO per quarter, to be used volunteering at the nonprofit of their choice.

For full-time employees, this is an eight-hour business day per quarter; for part-time employees, a four-hour business day.

“At Ent, we pride ourselves on being community-minded,” said Barb Winter, Ent’s executive vice president of organizational resources. “We’ve always encouraged our employees to volunteer, but we heard from team members that it can be hard to make time outside of work while also juggling family life, continuing education and/or other commitments. This new program is designed to make it easier for our employees to share their time and talents with local community organizations, reflecting our belief that when our communities succeed, our members and the credit union thrive.”
