COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. –Ent Credit Union said that Lori Velie, manager of its Flintridge Service Center, has been recognized by Junior Achievement (JA) of Southern Colorado for 15 years of service as a classroom volunteer.
Velie has taught more than 40 classes at local elementary and middle schools and participated in three school job fairs, and has been with the credit union for more than 16 years.
“Volunteering as a classroom teacher is so rewarding,” said Velie. “Especially when students you’ve had in previous classes recognize you from year to year and tell you they remember what you taught them in the past. It doesn’t get any better than that!”
