Elko FCU Donates 100 Early Childhood Learning Books

ELKO, Nev.–  Elko Federal Credit Union recently donated 100 early childhood learning books along with reading buddy pillows to classrooms at the Head Start of Northeastern Nevada preschool located in Elko, Nevada.

As part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ mandate, Head Start of Northeastern Nevada provides comprehensive early childhood, health, nutrition, and parent involvement services to low-income children and families.

“EFCU is proud to support such a wonderful program that helps improve the lives of children and families in our community,” said John Kelly, CEO of Elko Federal Credit Union.

Vanessa Marin and Sara Gilbert of EFCU visited the classroom to make the donation. “It was amazing to see the kids immediately grab the books and start to enjoy them”, said Marin. The students from Head Start of Northeastern Nevada will also be part of the Community Outreach that EFCU will be participating in this April.
