Elevations CU Supports 10 Nonprofits

BOULDER, Colo. — The Elevations Foundation said $70,000 in grant funding will go to 10 nonprofit organizations across the Colorado Front Range. Each year, Elevations Foundation awards community grants to organizations that are making an impact across the state, Elevations CU said.

This year’s grantees include 3Hopeful Hearts in Fort Collins, Alliance for Suicide Prevention of Larimer County and Neighbor to Neighbor in Fort Collins, Ignite Adaptive Sports in Nederland, Karis Community in Denver, Recovery Café Longmont, Safe Shelter of St. Vrain Valley, The Inn Between of Longmont, Veterans Community Project in Longmont, and Rise Against Suicide in Boulder.

The Elevations Foundation grantees were celebrated at a reception at which the Veterans Community Project was announced as winner of the Members’ Choice award, and Safe Shelter of St. Vrain was announced as winner of the Employees’ Choice award.

Each organization will receive an additional $5,000 in grant funding.

The Members’ Choice winner is selected by Elevations Credit Union members, and the Employees’ Choice winner is selected by Elevations Credit Union employees.

To determine funding priorities, the Elevations Foundation board reviews local research, talks with community leaders, and surveys Elevations Credit Union members to identify the most pressing community needs. This year’s grantees are organizations working in mental health and affordable housing.

“This year, we received dozens of applications from organizations across the Front Range, and our Grants Committee dedicated hours of work to reviewing every proposal,” said Jennifer Hinderliter, executive director of Elevations Foundation. “We are honored to be able to support organizations that are doing such important work in our communities.”
