BOULDER, Colo.–To help meet the critical needs within our community resulting from the global COVID-19 pandemic, Elevations Credit Union said its members have stepped up through the Local Change program and helped the Elevations Foundation donate a total of $7,100 to local organizations during the second and third quarters of 2020.
By enrolling in Elevations Local Change, credit union members opt to round up their debit card purchases and donate the spare change to Elevations Foundation’s COVID-19 Relief Fund. Through the end of 2020, Elevations Credit Union is matching these donations.
A total of $7,100 has been donated to these community organizations:
- Community Food Share
- Food Bank for Larimer County
- Mental Health Partners
- Homeward Alliance
- Boys and Girls Clubs of Larimer County
- YWCA of Boulder County
- Emergency Family Assistance Association (EFAA)
- Neighbor to Neighbor
“Elevations Credit Union members step up every time there is a need in our community,” stated Dennis Paul, VP-community affairs for Elevations Credit Union. “Local Change is an easy and effective way to help our neighbors during the pandemic, and we truly appreciate our many members who have opted into this program and contribute with their everyday purchases.”
Since March 2020, the Elevations Community Relief Fund has provided more than $155,000. Elevations Foundation maximizes donations through partnerships with local organizations that are delivering funds and support to first responders, medical staff and their families, and those directly impacted by COVID-19.
“Donations made through Local Change provide support to impacted individuals and families in our community,” Elevations said. “These funds work to mitigate the crisis across the northern Front Range in three areas: Northern Colorado, Boulder County and Southeast of Boulder County. Plus, Elevations Credit Union will continue to match all donations made this year so that each penny goes even further.”
