BOULDER, Colo.– The Elevations Foundation awarded a total of $66,400 in grants to 19 local nonprofits serving Front Range communities through the Foundation’s annual community grants program. This included a $2,000 grant for the first Elevations Members’ Choice Award recipient, Healing Warriors Program in Fort Collins.
The grants were awarded at the 2019 Annual Grantee Reception, held at Elevations Credit Union’s Diagonal Branch in Boulder.
“Elevations Foundation was able to give to 19 amazing and inspiring organizations doing such important work in our communities,” said Elevations Foundation’s Executive Director Phil Ferrante-Roseberry. “We’re thrilled to provide support through this community grants program every year.”
One Elevations Foundation grant recipient is Respite Care, Inc. in Larimer County, which provides a home away from home for children with developmental disabilities to allow parents the opportunity to rest and rejuvenate, enhancing the quality of life for the entire family.
Another recipient is Second Wind Fund of Boulder County, an innovative program that matches children and youth ages 19 and younger, who are at risk of suicide, with a licensed therapist in their local community. If the referred youth is at risk for suicide and does not have adequate insurance or the means to pay for the necessary mental health treatment, the cost of therapy is paid for by Second Wind Fund of Boulder County.
“We feel very lucky to be able to help organizations like Respite Care and Second Wind Fund of Boulder County because they directly help the people in our neighborhoods,” Ferrante-Roseberry continued. “We have worked closely with all of the organizations and know how much positive difference they make. Each of our recipients is truly inspirational.”
