Elevations CU Awarded Cigna Well-Being Award

BOULDER, Colo.–Elevations Credit Union has been awarded an "Honorable" level Cigna Well-Being Award — one of 13 presented nationwide — for its contribution to employees’ well-being through its benefits program. Each year, Cigna selects a group of organizations for Cigna Well-Being Award recognition for workplaces that are making a difference in the health and well-being of their employees, satisfaction and a company’s bottom line. 

Elevations said it has created a culture of well-being that encompasses many areas, including company initiatives such as Diversity and Inclusion and Financial Wellness. The Elevations Wellness Committee has contributed to the growth of health and well-being by providing a number of opportunities for employees to improve their own health and promote cross-department collaboration and increased engagement.

Elevations promotes a number of initiatives and offerings that contribute to the health and wellness of its employees as follows:

  • Standing desks
  • On-site gym, volleyball court, and walking trails
  • Reimbursement for gym participation
  • Weight loss classes and fitness trackers 
  • Company recreational sports teams, hiking club, and ping pong tournaments
  • Fitness events like Bike to Work Day, Fit Company Challenge, and local running races and fun runs 
  • Massage days
  • On-site gardens 

Elevations said it also offers employees who qualify a variety of wellness and medical benefits that contribute to their well-being like annual flu shots and biometrics screening,100% coverage of preventative medical care, vision plan, health fairs, wellness “Lunch and Learns” and tele-health options where employees can connect with a board-certified doctor via secure video chat or phone to get care they need - including most prescriptions - for a wide range of minor conditions.

Additional non-medical benefits include a mortgage discount program, auto loan discount program, pet insurance, cell phone discounts, computer/software discounts, public transportation discounts, tuition reimbursement, two days of paid volunteer time-off each year, flexible spending accounts, a 401K retirement plan and the start of accrual for four weeks per year of paid time off for full time employees immediately upon employment.
