CORNING, N.Y.--The Education Credit Union Council (ECUC) announced changes to its board of directors.
The board accepted the resignation of Connie Roy and has appointed Tom Anonson of Class Act Federal Credit Union to fill the board vacancy.
Roy, Meritus Credit Union’s President/CEO, announced her retirement effective in September after 32 years of service to the credit union.
Incoming board member Tom Anonson has been with Class Act Federal Credit Union for 25 years and currently serves as the Executive Vice President. He currently serves on the Executive Committee and Guiding Team for the Academies at Jefferson County Public Schools, the Business and Education Alignment Taskforce and the Finance Validation Panel for the Kentucky Department of Education where he spearheaded the project to implement CUNA learning modules inside of Kentucky schools as accepted industry certifications used towards student graduation.
Anonson brings vast experience to the ECUC Board lead by President Daniel Berry, President/CEO of Duke Federal Credit Union; Vice President Walton Greene, Chairman of California Federal Credit Union; Treasurer Joanne Todd, President/CEO of Northeast Family Federal Credit Union; Secretary Linda Hoover, President/CEO of Educators Credit Union; Gerald Baird, Director at Mainstreet Credit Union; and Jody Dabrowski, President/CEO of Illinois Educators Credit Union.
