Eagle Community CU Employees Are Recognized

LAKE FOREST, Calif.–Eagle Community Credit Union Business Development Manager Andrea Alcala and former Business Development Officer Crystal Rolling were recognized by Goodwill of Orange County at its 2016 Community Appreciation Award Breakfast.

Alcala and Rolling, who recently left the credit union to move up north, were honored for their work and time spent teaching financial literacy courses to the Goodwill community. They were among 22 individuals recognized at the event for having supported the Santa Ana, Calif.-based organization’s mission in the past year and for their outstanding contributions.

The credit union started providing these courses in January 2015 and since then have taught more than 20 workshops to more than 150 Goodwill employees and contacts. Alcala and Rolling began teaching financial education classes for the Veteran’s Workforce program. Those received so much positive feedback; Goodwill made the classes a financial literacy requirement for all new employees. This service partnership has led to new memberships for the credit union as well.

“We congratulate both Andrea and Crystal on this great honor; for representing Eagle so well in the community and for exemplifying the credit union spirit of ‘People Helping People’,” said Vice President of Marketing Erica Beach.
