GRAND BLANC, Mich.–The ELGA Credit Union Foundation’s annual "Raise the Purse" event raised $68,001 for Hurley Children's Hospital.
The funds generated from the charitable gathering will be used to purchase a portable ECG machine.
“This life-saving equipment will significantly impact the quality of care offered to Hurley's youngest Neonatal Intensive Care Unit patients when minutes count for a baby in crisis,” the credit union said.
This year's event featured various activities, including raffles, silent and live auctions showcasing a variety of designer purses, and enticing packages from generous sponsors.
"We are so thankful for our friends and partners at ELGA Credit Union," stated Karima Amlani, president of the Hurley Foundation, "The support we receive is not only appreciated but absolutely crucial for the ongoing success of our programs."
