BURTON, Mich.–ELGA Credit Union chose the ABC12 Diaper Drive to benefit the Flint Diaper Bank as their charity of choice in a video voting campaign sponsored by the Love My Credit Union campaign by CU Solutions Group.
The 10-week national campaign awarded three levels of prizes: a $5000 monthly prize was awarded for the credit union that received the most votes per asset size, a $15,000 grand prize was awarded for the most overall nationwide votes, and a $1000 prize was issued at the state level. Of 99 video submissions, ELGA won the prize in all three categories with a total of 50,682 votes! The $21,000 in prize money will help change the lives of babies in the community.
The video showcased the past four years in which ELGA Credit Union has hosted the ABC12 Diaper Drive. The video shed light on many facts of which most people are unaware. Based on the data available, Genesee County has approximately 4,500 children aged three and under living below the poverty level.
