Dutch Point Supports CU Kids@Heart

WETHERSFIELD, Conn.–Dutch Point Credit Union supported the CU Kids@Heart All Ability Challenge.

Participants could run, walk, roll/race, cycle, set their challenge or perform a good deed while collecting donations.  Dutch Point team members walked to historic Old Wethersfield to perform a good deed by handing out gift certificates to town residents to support local businesses -- Main Street Creamery and Aroma Bistro cafe.  Following the walk team members enjoyed lunch at a local restaurant.

“Giving back is something that the credit union is committed to,” said President Charlyn Tanne. “We promote causes and advocate for activities that have a positive impact to our community. Performing a good deed was a fun way to raise money to support the Credit Unions Kids @ Heart in their mission to help children lead healthy and happy lives. Through staff, member and vendor donations the credit union raised $5,000.”

Credit Unions Kids at Heart is a Massachusetts-based 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and one of the largest collaborative fundraising programs in the nation for the credit union community.

Eastern Corporate Federal Credit Union (EasCorp) of Burlington, Mass., founded CU Kids at Heart in 1996 with a small group of Massachusetts credit unions.  Today, the organization includes dozens of participating credit unions and corporate sponsors nationwide.
