DUBUQUE, Iowa—During Dupaco Community Credit Union’s 67th Annual Membership Meeting held Feb. 28, Steve Chapman and Renee Poppe were re-elected to serve three-year terms on the credit union’s volunteer board of directors.
Ron Meyers was elected to fill the seat previously held by Richard Burgmeier, who decided to not seek another term after more than 31 years of dedicated volunteer service.
Chapman has served on the board since 1988. He is vice president and chief operating officer of Auxiant, a company which provides professional health benefits administration to employers that self-insure their health plans. Auxiant has offices in Madison, Wis. and Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Poppe has served on the board since 2010. She is vice president of customer service for Medline Industries in Dubuque, Iowa. Medline is the nation’s largest privately held manufacturer and distributor of healthcare products.
Meyers has served as principal of Wahlert High School in Dubuque since 2010. Prior to accepting his position at Wahlert, he was assistant principal/dean of students at Dowling Catholic High School in West Des Moines, Iowa for five years. Previously, Meyers served the Des Moines public school system as a teacher and then as deputy director of the Technology Department.
Also during the annual membership meeting, the title of “Honorary Director” was bestowed on retiring director Richard Burgmeier, who began his service on the Dupaco board in 1985.
Following the membership meeting, the board of directors held its re-organizational meeting, at which these officer appointments were made:
- Renee Poppe, chair of the board;
- Bob Wethal, vice chair;
- Denise Dolan, secretary;
- Steve Chapman, treasurer; and
- Joe Hearn, president/CEO.
These directors were appointed to committee chair positions:
- Steve Chapman, chair Investment / Asset Liability Management, Salary Savings Plan Oversight Committees;
- Jeff Gonner, chair, Audit Committee;
- Ron Meyers, chair, Marketing Committee;
- Ron Mussehl, chair, Business Lending, Nomination Committees;
- Andy Schroeder, chair, Credit/Delinquent Loan Committees;
- Randy Skemp, chair, Personnel Committee.
