DUBUQUE, Iowa–Dupaco Community Credit Union was honored by the CUNA Human Resource and Organizational Development Council for its employee onboarding program, “Welcome Aboard - The Dupaco Onboarding Experience.”
The Dupaco Experience begins the moment a person applies for employment, and integrated throughout the interview, offer, multi-day orientation and ongoing employee development effort. Each stop within the Dupaco Experience is thoughtfully crafted to exemplify Dupaco’s member-centric culture, values, and brand, the credit union said. With its award winning new employee onboarding program, Dupaco reported it received 2,500 applications and hired 113 employees in 2018. Turnover remained low at 13% (compared to a peer average of 18%).
These CUNA HR/OD awards recognize and honor staff of credit unions that exemplify excellence in human resources and training and promotes credit union philosophies through leadership.
