Dort Financial Named a Top Performer

GRAND BLANC, Mich.–Dort Financial Credit Union has been named as one of the top 100 “Top Performing” U. S. Credit Unions by S&P Global Market Intelligence.

This award can be attributed to the credit union’s commitment to providing excellent service, our hardworking dedicated team, and guidance from the board, the credit union said.

S&P Global Market Intelligence included credit unions with more than $100 million in assets and a net worth ratio of at least 7%.  The financial performance rating factors included profitability, asset quality, risk position, liquidity, and growth. Based on these criteria, 1,765 credit unions qualified for the ranking.

“As Dort Financial surpasses 70 years of service, we are proud to be recognized as one of the top 100 credit unions, out of 1,765 credit unions, that qualified for this ranking,” said Brian Waldron, president and CEO of Dort Financial Credit Union. “It is an honor to achieve this recognition for our performance throughout 2021.”

For the last two years, Dort Financial has also been ranked by Forbes in its top 10 list of “Best In-State Credit Unions” for Michigan. Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista to survey consumers about their banking relationships. Credit unions were rated on overall recommendations and satisfaction, as well as five other categories: trust, terms and conditions, branch services, digital services, and financial advice.

“With under 4% of the nation’s credit unions making the Forbes list, it is a distinctive accomplishment for our credit union,” added Waldron.
