POTTSTOWN, Penn.–Seven Diamond CU employees volunteered for the United Way Day of Caring. Their job for the day was to help the Habitat for Humanity of Berks County by volunteering at the store that builds houses. The ReStore accepts gently used donations of home goods and resells them to help fund home-building projects. Volunteers spent the day cleaning, organizing, unloading donation trucks, and preparing items for sale.
“The Day of Caring is a wonderful opportunity for our employees to get out of the office and help the local community in a new capacity. Working at Diamond, we always have opportunities to volunteer for various activities, but the United Way Day of Caring connects us with new organizations and gives us the opportunity to work with volunteers from other organizations. It’s simply a great experience,” stated Kim Deery, Diamond Credit Union Accounting Associate.
