Diamond CU Donates Funds Following Refer-A-Member Promotion

POTTSTOWN, Penn.–Diamond Credit Union has raised $2,500 for six local organizations following a 10-week campaign during which it asked members to refer friends and family members with the incentive of earning those donations. Both the referring member and the new member choose one organization each to receive $10 after a new checking account was opened.

The participating charitable organizations were The American Cancer Society Relay For Life (Berks and Pottstown), the Greater Berks Food Bank, HeartSAFE Berks County, KenCrest EmployNET (Disability Support Services based in Pottstown), Olivet Boys and Girls Club, and the Animal Rescue League of Berks County.

The organization chosen most often was the Animal Rescue League of Berks County, which received a $1,100 donation on behalf of the members of Diamond Credit Union, while the remaining organizations also benefited from difference-making donations.

“We had so much fun with this promotion. We choose organizations to support that make an impact in our local serving area and we loved hearing the stories of why members chose to support a specific organization. The only thing better was seeing the excited faces when we dropped off the donation checks,” stated CEO John Faust.
