JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jax Federal Credit Union has appointed Rodomir (Rod) Désir to its Board of Directors.
He will formally be voted in by the credit union membership at the annual meeting this fall.
Désir replaces Mary Jones, who announced her retirement earlier this month after nearly a decade of service on Jax Federal Credit Union’s Board.
“One thing that clearly distinguishes credit unions from banks is having a volunteer Board of Directors who are members of the credit union,” said Mary Svoboda, Interim President and CEO of Jax Federal Credit Union. “This role requires commitment, respect for the member experience and a strong spirit of servant leadership. We extend our deepest gratitude to Mary for her service — and look forward to working with Rod in the years ahead.”
Désir currently serves as the Pharmacy Manager of Ascension St. Vincent’s Southside Outpatient Pharmacy. He was born in Queens, N.Y., and has lived in Florida since 1993. He is a graduate of the University of North Florida (Bachelor of Science) and Nova Southeastern University (Doctor of Pharmacy).
