PHOENIX–Desert Financial Credit Union employee Ann Herycyk has received the organization's Volunteer of the Year Award for volunteering more than 230 hours in 2023 – nearly six weeks’ worth of full-time work.
Desert Financial reported Herycyk:
- Volunteered for 17 different Arizona nonprofits.
- Played the primary role in Desert Financial receiving the Southwest Autism Research Resource Center’s (SARRC) first-ever Corporate Volunteer Group of the Year.
Overall, Desert Financil said all 1,100 Desert Financial employees across Arizona volunteered 18,492 hours in 2023
Desert Financial said it encourages employees to volunteer with paid volunteer time and regular volunteer opportunities coordinated by the credit union.
