Desert Financial Names Veteran Banking Executive Jamie Britton CFO

PHOENIX—Desert Financial Credit Union has appointed Jamie Britton as chief financial officer, adding a financial services executive with more than 25 years of experience in banking, treasury management and strategic planning as the Arizona-based credit union continues to expand its operations.

Jamie Britton

Britton joins Desert Financial from First Foundation Bank, where he has served as executive vice president and CFO since August 2023. The credit union said he helped guide the bank through balance sheet challenges and evolving regulatory requirements. His previous leadership roles include positions at Texas Security Bank, Texas Capital Bank, SunTrust Bank and Andersen Consulting, now part of Accenture.

"Desert Financial Credit Union's tireless commitment to membership and giving back is an inspiring reminder of the important role credit unions can play in the communities we serve," Britton said in a statement. "I look forward to joining the team and helping lead our organization through the years ahead as we build on 87 years of financial stability and success in serving Arizona."

Desert Financial President and CEO Jeff Meshey said Britton's combination of financial expertise and leadership experience will support the credit union's long-term growth strategy. The credit union said Britton holds a master's degree in quantitative and computational finance from the Georgia Institute of Technology, a mathematics degree from Arizona State University and is a CFA charterholder. His appointment comes as Desert Financial continues efforts to strengthen its financial foundation and expand its impact across Arizona.
