DENVER–Denver Community Credit Union has been named an honoree of The Civic 50 Colorado by CSR Solutions of Colorado and Points of Light, the world’s largest organization dedicated to volunteer service.
The award recognizes Denver Community Credit Union as one of the 50 most community-minded companies in Colorado, determined by an independently administered and scored survey. The Civic 50 Colorado initiative, modeled after Points of Light’s national program, provides a standard for superior corporate citizenship and showcases how companies can use their time, skills and resources to drive social impact in their company and communities.
“Putting people first has been a guiding principle since our founding in 1934. This is embodied in our efforts to provide no cost financial education, and encouraging a spirit of volunteerism in our employees,” said Vice President of Strategic Outreach Helen Gibson. “We are proud of the fact that since 2005 we have given financial education classes and tools to more than 30,000 people, and since 2019 our staff has averaged 14 hours per person of volunteer time at local nonprofits.”
The Civic 50 Colorado survey is administered by True Impact, a company specializing in helping organizations maximize and measure their social and business value and consists of quantitative and multiple-choice questions that inform scoring process.
