ALEXANDRIA, Va.–Democracy Federal Credit Union donated $500 to Alexandria-based food bank, ALIVE!
During the COVID-19 global pandemic, Democracy FCU said it remains committed to meeting the needs of its community now more than ever.
“Our approach to rebuilding is simple: restore what we can, where we can, with anyone willing to attack the effects the virus has cause to our community. In doing this, we find our social responsibility as a financial institution demands more from us than access to solutions that provide financial stimulus and relief alone,” the credit union said.
Democracy FCU VP of Delivery Channels Mario Mejia made the $500 donation to ALIVE!’s food program director, Ann Patterson. “It was truly a great experience working with Ann and her team,” said Mejia. “Their appreciation of our donation was genuinely received with gratitude.”
