DayMet CU Wrapping Up Food Truck Events

DAYTON, OhioDayMet Credit Union is wrapping up its 2021 Food Truck Friday events. This year the CU has hosted more than 20 Food Truck Friday events, supporting area food trucks and offering members, staff, and the community with easy access to lunch.

DayMet began its Food Truck Friday initiative in 2020 in an effort to create additional business for area food trucks who were lacking places to set up due to the COVID 19 pandemic. The initiative garnered positive feedback from participating food trucks and credit union members.

As a result, DayMet decided to host Food Truck Fridays in 2021 as well.

“What started out as community outreach to support local business has turned into a fun event that our members and community look forward to,” said VP-Marketing Jaime Crooks.  “We offer prizes to those who attend, giving them the opportunity to spin our prize wheel. We give away various DayMet goodies and even free lunch at the food truck.”

More than 10 different trucks participated this year. They included Momma’z Boyz, McNasty’s, What the Taco, Mom Andrasik’s Hungarian Cabbage Rolls, Underdogs Mobile, Billie Gold Bubble Tea, I Heart Ice Cream, Claybourne Grille, Pop’s World Famous Dawg House, The Lumpia Queen, and Dogs for Dogs.

DayMet’s Food Truck Fridays will end this year on Oct. 22, rounding out the season with Mom Andrasik’s Hungarian Cabbage Rolls.
