HOUSTON, Texas- Antwon Moore, Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union HR Director of Training and Development, was recently named a Young Professional Advisor (YP Advisor) by the Cornerstone Credit Union League.
Moore is one of 14 YP Advisors tasked with engaging and empowering young professionals in the credit union industry through meaningful dialogue, the exchange of ideas and focused activities. Moore’s career in the financial services industry spans ten years. In his current position as HR Director at Cy-Fair FCU, Moore designs and executes immersive training and development programs for the credit union, including new employee orientations and management development courses. He also serves as a mentor and coach to his staff.
“Antwon has a unique talent that allows him to connect and engage with our employees in a way that benefits their careers, the credit union and its members,” said Margot Stewart, Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union Director of Marketing. “The Cornerstone Young Professional Advisor position suits him well, and we can’t wait to see the work he does throughout his career to advance the credit union movement.”
“As a YP Advisor, I will have the opportunity to attract more young people to the industry, something credit unions currently lack,” said Moore. “My generation is often misunderstood, but we have a significant impact on society. Through this program, I will use my skills from Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union to educate and work with millennials, as well as leaders, for the overall betterment of credit unions.”
Moore will hold his position as YP advisor through 2017.
