GLENDALE, Ariz.–Credit Union West has awarded five Arizona high school seniors who were chosen to receive $10,000 in scholarships from the credit union’s 2024 Scholarship Program.
Each year, the CU West CARES Charitable Foundation provides $10,000 in scholarship funds to be distributed to five exceptional Arizona high school seniors. Each of the five winners will receive $2,000 to attend a trade school, two-year, or four-year college of their choice this fall.
The five winners were chosen based on academic achievement, community involvement, and overall character. Applicants were also asked to submit an essay about how financial knowledge can empower other areas of their lives.
“Our scholarship program is one of our favorite ways that we give back to the community,” said President and CEO Karen Roch. “Each year I am so impressed by these students and their strong commitment to their education and their communities. Congratulations to each of our winners.”
