CORRY, Penn.–Corry Federal Credit Union here has been named the winner of the 2018 Change a Child’s Life coin drive competition hosted by Vizo Financial. Since 2016, Vizo Financial has hosted this friendly competition among credit unions in an effort to raise money to benefit the local CMN Hospitals in our communities.
As part of the competition, credit unions are encouraged to place the signature CU4Kids coin canisters around their branches to collect change from employees and members. The winning credit union would be the one to raise the most money per member.
All the money Corry FCU raised will be donated to their local CMN Hospital, Saint Vincent Hospital in Erie, Penn.In addition to the change collected by the participating credit unions, Vizo Financial reported it also raised funds internally through the Change a Child’s Life coin collection campaign.
In total, the competing credit unions, as well as the Corporate, brought in $472.38 for CMN Hospitals during April.
“We love holding the Change a Child’s Life coin drive competition because it’s such a simple way to help those in need in our communities,” said Erin Doan, administration and community relations director for Vizo Financial. “Everyone carries around spare change, so why not use those loose pennies and dimes to make a huge difference in the life of a child who really needs the support? That’s the message we want our member credit unions and the people in our communities to take away from this fundraiser.”
Vizo Financial thanked the following credit unions who participated in the Change a Child’s Life coin drive competition for their support of CU4Kids and CMN Hospitals:
- Corry Federal Credit Union
- DEXSTA Federal Credit Union
- Lanco Federal Credit Union
- New Alliance Federal Credit Union
- Wheatland Federal Credit Union
