Corporate Central, CUs Raise Funds With Flag Football Tournament

GREEN BAY, Wis.–Credit unions here raised money by competing in a flag football tournament benefitting Special Olympics Wisconsin athletes. The Titletown Showdown event was a collaborative effort between Corporate Central Credit Union, Special Olympics Wisconsin and member credit unions. The event was held at the historic City Stadium in Green Bay, where the Green Bay Packers played from 1925 to 1956.

Credit unions with teams competing included Capital Credit Union, CoVantage Credit Union, Heartland Credit Union, Health Care Credit Union, Marshfield Medical Center Credit Union, N.E.W. Credit Union, Shoreline Credit Union, Simplicity Credit Union, and Corporate Central Credit Union. 

The combined team of Shoreline, Health Care, and Corporate Central came in first place taking home the trophy. Second place went to Simplicity and Marshfield Medical Center, and CoVantage came in third. Heartland won best costume and highest fundraising team, and N.E.W. won best sportsmanship and second highest fundraising team. A 50/50 raffle and bucket raffles were also held during the event.
