Connexus CU Breaks Ground on Branch

WAUSAU, Wis.–Connexus Credit Union has broken ground on its new, innovative branch in the Town of Rib Mountain, which is set to open to the public next summer.

The groundbreaking took place on Wednesday at the site of the new branch, located at the intersection of North Mountain Road and Hummingbird Lane. Employees from Ghidorzi Construction Co., the project’s design and build partner, attended the event along with members of the Connexus board and representatives from the Town of Rib Mountain.

“As we break ground on our new Rib Mountain branch, Connexus looks forward to continuing our investments in the Central Wisconsin communities we call home, maintaining our strong relationships with our current members, and welcoming new members in the Greater Wausau area,” said Boyd Gustke, Connexus president & Chief Executive Officer. “Our innovative, full-service branch reinforces our commitment to our valued members, and allows us to further serve their financial needs. We’re thrilled to break ground on another beautiful project with Ghidorzi, and can’t wait to have a new and easily accessible location to deliver our industry-leading products and services to the community.”

The new branch is anticipated to be approximately 5,100 square feet and will feature modern interior amenities, including digital self-service stations to limit wait time and maximize efficiency; a spacious and comfortable fireside reception area; a comprehensive Solutions Center for member services; and more.

The exterior will showcase a Northwoods architectural style to complement the Granite Peak backdrop and a five-lane drive-thru with an ATM for 24/7 member and community convenience.

A virtual tour of the branch is available here.
