Connex CU Honored By CU League of Connecticut

NORTH HAVEN, Conn. –Connex Credit Union has been honored for its commitment to member advocacy by the Credit Union League of Connecticut.

The CU was recognized during the CULCT’s recent meeting at which it hosted credit unions from across the state. Connex won first place for its asset size in all available categories.

“Our commitment to improving the lives of our members is evident in every aspect of our daily operation and is one of the core values Connex is built upon,” said Frank Mancini, president and CEO, in a statement. “Garnering statewide acknowledgement for our programs is truly a testament to the dedication of every Connex employee and we are thrilled to now have the opportunity to showcase our programs on a national scale.”

Connex received the following first place awards (greater than $250 million asset category in the Dora Maxwell and Louise Herring Awards, as well as in the

Desjardins Youth Financial Education Award category. In the latter it was recognized for ConnexNation, a digital newsletter that targets young adults and promotes financial literacy through pop culture videos, helpful blog articles, fun trivia and prize-winning quizzes. ConnexNation was developed in October 2015 and has covered topics such as textbook savings, tips for moving and student loan myths.
