DES MOINES, IOWA – Community Choice Credit Union said it has provided support to 47 local non-profits and initiatives over the past 12 months. Some of its commitments include participation in House of Mercy’s upcoming Game Show Gala, the American Heart Association’s Heart Ball, Pride Fest, Wine Fest and sponsoring the “Amoeba Pool” for the downtown’s newest attraction, Lauridsen Skate Park.
Thus far, the highlight of 2019 has been the immense impact the credit union said it has made for the American Heart Association’s Heart Ball, where Community Choice helped raise a record breaking $900,000 for the prevention of heart disease and stroke in Central Iowa.
Community Choice’s other efforts and dedication to “UNbanking for Good” were recognized by the Marketing Association of Credit Unions recently with three national awards in the categories of Community Engagement, Brand Awareness and Culture.
“While these awards are exciting to receive, they simply emulate Community Choice’s commitment to the communities they serve,” the credit union said.
