VANCOUVER, Wash. – Columbia Credit Union has been recognized for Corporate Philanthropy by the Portland Business Journal as one of the Portland area’s most generous companies in the large business category.
This is Columbia CU’s eighth recognition since 2017. At the same time, Columbia CU has been awarded the title of Best in Business by the Vancouver Business Journal—for the 12th year in a row.
The Corporate Philanthropy Awards is The Portland Business Journal’s annual celebration of the region’s most philanthropic companies. Columbia Credit Union is no stranger to the concept or practice of philanthropy with their Core Values of People, Community, and Financial Wellness centering all of their corporate endeavors. Giving back to members, neighbors, businesses, and nonprofits is in the DNA of how Columbia CU functions as a financial institution, and why they’ve been recognized as one of the Portland area’s most generous companies in the large business category for so many years in a row.
“Our mission is to make life better for our community, plain and simple,” said Lindsey Salvestrin, Columbia Credit Union President & CEO. “As a member-led community banking partner, when the community thrives so does the credit union. That’s why our commitment to giving back will always be so strong, and why we’re so proud to be recognized at the Corporate Philanthropy Awards.”
