VANCOUVER, Wash. – Columbia Credit Union has donated $100,000 to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center Foundation’s transformative Healthcare Reimagined Campaign—reinforcing its commitment to community well-being by helping fund safe, compassionate, and socially-informed care. The donation was made during a special check presentation ceremony attended by Columbia Credit Union’s Senior Leadership Team, Board of Directors, and Supervisory Committee.
PeaceHealth Southwest recently unveiled its expanded Emergency Department—the busiest on the West Coast—designed to meet the growing healthcare needs of the Southwest Washington community. In addition, PeaceHealth launched the nation’s only Community Health Hub, a groundbreaking initiative that integrates social services directly into the hospital setting. The Hub connects patients facing challenges such as homelessness, mental health issues, food insecurity, domestic violence, and substance abuse with onsite nonprofit partners who provide real-time support and care coordination.“PeaceHealth Southwest’s innovative approach to whole-person care is truly inspiring—supporting physical, emotional, and financial wellness,” said Lindsey Salvestrin, Columbia Credit Union’s President and CEO. “Their Community Health Hub is a model of compassion and collaboration, addressing not just medical needs but the social determinants of health that impact so many lives. We’re honored to collaborate in their mission of whole-person care where we can help take care of the financial wellness piece, with PeaceHealth now better able to support the physical and emotional part.”
