Columbia CU Names Scott Ingram as VP-Marketing

VANCOUVER, Wash. - Columbia Credit Union welcomes financial marketing veteran, Scott Ingram, as Vice President of Marketing. Ingram will lead promotions supporting member needs for education, loans, deposits, wealth management and e‐commerce. He will develop and launch marketing plans to support corporate strategies, oversee all print and electronic communication, and assist in advancing the strategic direction of the credit union.

“Scott brings tremendous marketing expertise to Columbia Credit Union,” said Columbia Senior Vice President Marketing and Chief Deposit Officer, Colleen Boccia. “His communication initiatives and public relations campaigns contributed to significant growth at the nation’s sixth largest credit union, Golden 1 Credit Union. His leadership will allow us to be even more relevant, sharing the local, good‐news stories of how Columbia CU brings people together to make life better for themselves and their communities.”

With more than 35 years of industry experience, Ingram caps a successful career of agency work and 24 years of service at prominent credit unions. Prior to his eight years with Golden 1 Credit Union, Ingram served as Vice President of Marketing at Educational Employees Credit Union, contributing to growth that placed the credit union among the top 100 in the nation.

Active in the community, Ingram served numerous organizations including Habitat of Humanity, the Better Business Bureau and the Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce where he helped recruit prominent speakers including Vice President Dick Cheney, former U.S. Secretary of Defense, Robert Gates, former Secretary of U.S. Treasury and President of Harvard University, Lawrence Summers and others. He is well‐ known in the credit union community for his political action on behalf of the California/Nevada Credit Union Leagues and his twelve years of service as a Board Member of the Marketing Association of Credit Unions.
