Columbia CU Expands Into Portland

VANCOUVER, Wash.–Columbia Credit Union has expanded its FOM  to include a four-county community in the Portland, Ore. metro area.  The new service area includes Clackamas, Marion, Multnomah and Washington Counties.  Columbia Credit Union membership is now open to everyone who lives or works in Washington State or the Oregon four-county community and their families.

“This natural progression and logical expansion of our market opens the door for us to better serve the 5,500-plus families we’re already assisting across the Columbia River and opens our services to others who may have wanted to join Columbia Credit Union, but couldn’t,” said Steve Kenny President and CEO of the Credit Union.  “This is exciting news that will allow us to be everywhere our members are and drive diversified growth for our credit union in the years ahead.  We’ve been making life better here in Clark County, Washington since 1952.  Now, we have the opportunity to do the same for our neighbors in the Portland metro area.”

CCU said it currently has a robust online presence and 12 branches throughout Clark County, Washington and is evaluating possible locations for a loan servicing center in the new four-county Portland community.  Additional branches and service centers are also under consideration; however, there have been no decisions on the number, type, or locations of additional facilities at this time.
