Coastal CU Promotes Striley to Vice President, Information Security

RALEIGH, N.C. --Coastal CU has promoted Jonathon Striley to Vice President, Information Security.  

 

Striley brings 18 years of IT experience to the role, including more than seven years of financial institution cybersecurity expertise.  For the past two years, as Coastal’s IT Security Manager, he led the credit union’s efforts to boost cybersecurity assurance capabilities, while also leading the project to overhaul the organization’s IT security policies.

 

Coastal’s Chief Information Officer David Faleski said, “these achievements were no small task. It took personnel from across the IT division working diligently together, and it also took Jon’s leadership. With two years of proven success, and to address the ever-growing importance of IT security to the credit union and to our members, I’m pleased to have him in this new role.”

 

Striley holds a BS, Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governors University. He is a member of the Information Systems Security Association, and of the Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Advisory Board.
