DURHAM, N.C. –Coastal Credit Union has opened a new branch in the Hope Valley Commons shopping center in Durham, N.C. The 2,800-square-foot. branch replaces a storefront branch at Southpoint Crossing. It features three drive up tellers and Coastal’s signature 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. teller services, available seven days a week.
“This new Hope Valley branch is an important evolution of Coastal’s branch network and an addition to the Durham community,” said President & CEO Chuck Purvis. “We’ve been serving this neighborhood since 2003 through a series of storefront branches. Having a new, freestanding building with more amenities and greater convenience gives our longtime, loyal members something they truly deserve.”
The Hope Valley branch features dual function video teller machines. Between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., members will be presented with a welcome screen that allows them to select whether they want to use the machine to get full service from a live teller, or if they want to use it as an ATM, which is available 24/7.
The branch also offers a full slate of loans and deposit accounts, as well as an on-site mortgage loan officer and services provided by Coastal Wealth Management and Daymark Realty. Wendolyn Filmore-Mitchell is the branch manager. She has 12 years of Coastal expertise, including the past several years leading the Southpoint Crossing team.
