RALEIGH, N.C.–Coastal Credit Union has earned a spot on the Triangle Business Journal’s Best Places to Work for 2020. This is the fifth year in a row that Coastal has been recognized, and the sixth time overall. Coastal and other winners were honored in a special edition of the TBJ.
“For us, there’s a lot more to Best Places to Work beyond the chance to add to our trophy case,” said Joe Mecca, VP-communication. “Earning an honor like this helps give us an edge in attracting and retaining great employees, and what we learn from the process helps ensure we keep striving to be the best.”
The credit union noted a core component to the criteria in deciding the winners is an independent survey that employees were invited to participate in earlier this year. In addition to helping secure the award, participating companies can receive a summary of those survey results, and comparisons to other top employers.
These insights are a valuable resource when making decisions that shape the credit union’s work environment and help foster a positive and welcoming company culture, Coastal said.
