RALEIGH, N.C.–Coastal Credit Union has broken ground on its newest branch location at 7870 Brier Creek Parkway. Coastal’s Board Chair Joan Nelson and CEO Chuck Purvis were joined by Raleigh City Councilmember Stef Mendell, and Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce Relationship Manager Evelyn Lucas.
Coastal cited the continued development of the Brier Creek area and a growing number of members living nearby as driving factors behind deciding to build there. When it opens, the Brier Creek location will be Coastal’s 24th branch.
Site work on the 2,800-square-foot branch is planned to begin in the next several weeks, and construction should be complete by the first quarter of 2020. The new branch will feature three drive-up video tellers, and will offer Coastal’s signature 7am to 7pm teller service, seven days a week.
An identical branch is already under construction in the Hope Valley Commons shopping center in Durham and will open later this year, replacing Coastal’s Southpoint Crossing location.
